Surfing in Thailand

Yes, Thailand has surf!

Best from April thru November on the Andaman coast. But don’t be surprised to find waves year-round at Cape Pakarang. There are head high days but it’s mostly small, warm and playful. Khao Lak is perfect for learning to surf. From sandy beach breaks to coral reef, there is something for everyone. The best spots are Nang Thong beach, Bang Niang river mouth, Pakarang beach and Cape Pakarang reef.

Khao Lak has some of the longest and most consistent waves around. There are several reef breaks and beach breaks that work on different winds and tides, so there is usually waves somewhere. Check out our Pakarang surf report blog for recent pictures, videos, forecasts and local knowledge.

And what makes Thailand such a great place is its friendly people, delicious food and unspoiled beaches. Come visit us in Pakarang, Khao Lak.
